LALA, LANAO DEL NORTE—AgriDOC participants defended their project proposals before a distinguished panel as a finale prior to their graduation. The proposals were crafted after consultation with stakeholders and Focus Group Discussions that the participants made in their respective areas of assignment during a break in the training. The proposals are designed to bring development in the countrysides, especially in rice areas. Most of the projects proposed include free-range chickens, rice-duck farming, vermiculture, swine and production of heirloom rice.

The panelists were composed of Ms. Ev P. Angeles of the PhilRice Central Experiment Station and three members of the Technical Working Group, Ms. Noemi Beth G. Macario, Chief, Information Services, Dr. Anita L. Molijon, Chief, Partnership and Accreditation and Ms. Teodosia D. Jaraba, Chief, Capability Development and Management Sections of ATI-RTC X. After the presentation, three of the 19 participants have their proposals immediately approved. The remaining 16 were advised to incorporate the panel's suggestions and revise their proposals for submission before the Graduation Ceremony on August 31, 2017.

This activity is in line with the last and final Module Number of the program, which is “Be RICEponsible,” wherein the participants are required to prepare and present a project proposal/community development plan which will be implemented in their community so that the knowledge they gained from the training will be showcased and replicated in other areas (information from Ati Northern Mindanao Rtc X Facebook Page). The training which ran for about four months and is composed of six modules is held at Jika Farm, a diversified rice and swine-based farm in Lala, Lanao del Norte. Jika Farm is an accredited Learning Site of ATI-RTC X and is owned by Engr. Bong Arnoco.
