PANGANTUCAN, Bukidnon -- The Training on Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT)/Sustainable Corn Production in Sloping Area (SCOPSA) commenced on May 22, 2018 at Barangay Multi-Purpose Hall, Poblacion, Pangantucan, Bukidnon.
The training is under the Tier 2 Extension Support to the 22 Provinces with the Highest Poverty Incidence in the Philippines (T2-ES22PPP) Program. It aims to enhance the knowledge of the farmers on how to establish the SALT and SCOPSA Technology, as well as conserve their respective soils.
Among the topics that were discussed were: Soil Erosion by Mr. Elmer Delsolor; Soil Sampling by Ms. Antonia J. Rupinta; Sloping Agricultural Land Technology, Simple Agro-Livestock Technology, Sustainable Agro Forest Land Technology and Small Agri-Fruit Livelihood Technology by Mr. Deneb Joel V. Ganancial; Multi-Storey Cropping by Mr. Vencris Valleser and Farm Record Keeping by Ms. Christine Labid.
All in all, the activity was a success and the participants left the hall full of newfound knowledge that they would apply in their respective farmlands.
