Extensionists trained on Social Media Use

Training Specialist III and CDMS Chief Teodosia D. Jaraba orients the training participants of "Social Media Content and Advocacy Creation for Agricultural Extension" regarding the institute's current program thrust and its program and policy direction.

Gusa, CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY---Realizing the importance of social media in furthering the institute’s extension delivery, training services and technology transfer, a three-day training workshop dubbed as "We are Social: Social Media Content & Advocacy Creation for Agricultural Extension" was mounted by the Career Development Management Section (CDMS) in close coordination with the Information Services Section (ISS) team.

Training Specialist-III and CDMS Chief Teodosia D. Jaraba delivered a brief orientation to the training participants regarding the institute’s current program thrust and its program policy direction.

Presentations on the different social media platforms, various marketing tools and microblogging were delivered during the training and workshop proper. The training participants were later required to choose a social media platform of their choice, create an account of their respective organization or business group, and populate with essential posts the center's official Facebook page with a prescribed hashtag.

In the last leg of the training, Resource Persons (RPs) Honeylou C. Bastasa, Information Officer II along with Media Production Specialist-II Vic Thor A. Palarca announced the winners as the following:

Best Social Media Post: Gingoog City Aggies

Highest Pre/Post Test Increment: Ms. Rosievic Trompeta

The three-day event transpired last April 16-18, 2018 at Harborlights Hotel in Gusa, Cagayan de Oro
