ATI 10 - RCEF kicks-off 1st training for FY 2022

The Training on Inbred Rice Seed Production and Certification for Potential Seed Growers officially starts today, March 2, 2022.

The said training is in a blended-learning approach with virtual sessions from March 2-8, 2022 via Google Meet. The face to face and hands-on activity will be on March 9-11, 2022 with a field practicum at PhilRice Field Office-Central Mindanao University, Musuan Maramag, Bukidnon.

This training aims to develop potential farmers to apply appropriate seed production practices and to become accredited seed growers. The course content involves four modules, to wit: (1) Value Re-Orientation, (2) Understanding RCEF and implications to rice farmers, (3) Seed Production, (4) Seed Certification, and (5) Farm Record Keeping and Budgeting, respectively.

This is participated by 30 rice farmers and potential seed growers in Region 10. Seed growers play a vital role in attaining the goal for the distribution and production of high-quality inbred rice seeds in the Region.#
