RCEF information drive for PRISCIA commenced

MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon – Recently, the Pulangi River Irrigation System Confederation of Irrigators Association, Inc (PRISCIA) conducted its regular meeting on Thursday, January 23, 2020. This was held at San Martin Warehouse, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

The association then invited several government agencies, including the Agricultural Institute-Regional Training Center 10 (ATI-RTC X) in order to present their updates of the programs that could support and provide assistance to the rice farmers.

Ms. Noemi Beth G. Macario, OIC-Assistance Center Director of ATI-RTC X, presented the Rice Tarrification Law alongside the provisions of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF). Farmers were made to understand why the law came around and the four components of the RCEF Program.

Aside from these, the importance of the Registry System for the Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) was also emphasized so that the farmers may be able to register themselves. The information campaign of the Center aims to comprehensively explain to the farmers the new program of the government – specifically the RCEF Program.
