ATI Turns 31, mounts “ATIng Merkado sa SiyuDAd”

As the Institute turns 31, it started with a bang by hoisting of the banners among the Regional Training Centers led by the Training Center Superintendents and their respective deputies.

DILIMAN, Quezon City – In celebrating its 31st Founding Anniversary as the training arm of the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) mounted the “ATIng Merkado sa SiyuDAd” which showcases various farm and organic food products from the regions via its Learning Site (LS) partners.

15 Regional Training Centers including the International Training Center for Pig Husbandry (ITCPH) actively participated during the Opening Ceremony. The center directors and their respective deputies joined in during the hoisting of the banners. For RTC X, TCS II Dr. Angelito Y. Quirog and TCS I Maria Lydia A. Echavez took the lead.

At around 7:00 AM, the front yard of the Institute were filled with buzz and revelry as various RTC's and invited organizations prepared their booths and product displays for the said fair.

The RTC X booth, which is named “Tabu-an sa Region X” displayed products of their accredited Learning Sites. Among the products include Buhian Diversified Farms’ Coco Sugar, Salted Egg and Health Tea; LGU Kapatagan’s Black Rice, GreenMind’s Flavoured Peanuts and Herbs and Salt; Engallado’s Piaya, Rice Café, Meringue, and Barquirice; Ginger Pastillas of Margueries House of Goodies; Vima’s Banana Chips, Papaya Salad, Dulaw Powder, Salabat, Coffee, Rosette, Durian Jam, Mangosteen Powder and Calabash Juice; Fresh lettuce, 3n1 Fresh Herb Tea and vinegrette (spicy and sweet) from Alomah’s Place; Kape Maramag’s Arabica and Special Blend Coffee; and Caballero’s Tableya de Canituan.

The display of organic farm produce and food products via "ATIng Merkado sa SiyuDAd" is up until January 29-30, 2018 at the ATI Compound, Elliptical Road, Diliman Quezon City. (with reports from Angelica B. Villarta, TSS-PMES)
