Eskaya discover strawberry growing the natural way

BOHOL – Thirty members of the Eskaya Indigenous People of Taytay, Duero, this province successfully completed the three-day Training on Naturally Grown Strawberry Production: Capability Enhancement last May 6-8, 2019 as spearheaded by Project Officer, Ma. Gracia Soliva-Pungay, Media Production Specialist II of ATI-7 with Support Staff, Quennie Lou Vistal.

The training aims to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitude (KSA) of the participants on the natural way of growing or producing strawberry. They also recognized the importance and nutritional value of strawberry; described the cultural management in the production of strawberry; demonstrated the various cultural management of natural way of strawberry production.

The sole-resource person of the training is a youth-farmer and strawberry grower who at the same time the owner of Gemiel Secret Garden in Cebu Province and the current Regional President of the 4-H Club in Central Visayas.

Ms. Mirason Verula, High Value Crop Development Program (HVCDP) Coordinator of the Local Government Unit of Duero facilitated the activity.
