Organizational creativity and productivity and enhanced competitiveness can only be realized if workers and employers are equipped with requisite knowledge, skills, and understanding and appreciation of innovation.
Thus, ATI-RTC 7 conducted a three-day Seminar on Innovations and Productivity held on July 12-14, 2017 at ATI-RTC 7 Training Complex, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Dr. Vilma M. Patindol, Center Director of ATI-Region 8 who served as the resource person, having been to one of the most innovative countries in the world-Singapore specifically Nanyang Polytechnic, observed and learned valuable lessons to share.
Dr. Patindol has been transferring her knowledge regarding Innovations and Productivity to ATI Network during Planning Workshop and Assessment and various Conferences and Training. In her discussions, she emphasized the importance of creativity in undertaking tasks as well as achieving the goals of the institution. Guided by these principles ATI-Region 8 was then awarded as Best Innovative Center in the whole ATI Network.
Some of the substantive inputs she discussed include the ATI 8 Innovations Journey; Encouraging Innovations; Nanyang Polytechnic Technology; and Organizational Excellence Framework.
A total of twenty-nine (29) participants composed of Agriculture Extension Workers (AEWs), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and ATI staff participated the said activity.
Mr. Edgardo G. Anhao, Asst. Provincial Agriculturist of Siquijor expressed, "So far this training is really very important and useful to my career as part of the OPA Management Officer. I gained more knowledge on innovations and productivity concepts and this is very applicable and can be replicated to improve our office system in terms of human resource development, technological and administrative support services in the implementation of programs and projects in the province for efficient and effective delivery of our services to our farmer-clientele.”
