TAGBILARAN CITY – A three-day Training on Resource Person Development Course on Mechanization of Rice Crop Establishment was held at the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 7 (ATI-RTC 7) Training Complex, Cabawan District, this city last June 24-28, 2019 with 17 Agricultural Extension Workers mostly Rice Focal Person from the provinces of Bohol and Cebu respectively.

The primary objective of the training is to capacitate and empower the participants to be effective trainers/partners in developing and/or mechanizing the agriculture and fishery sectors to be healthy and responsible citizenry, especially among the farming families.

During the training, they were able to demonstrate qualities of a good presenter; performed presentation skills; discussed and explained the topic assigned to them as resource speaker; succinctly delivered effective services as a presenter and prepared extension plans on the delivery of different topics assigned.

Spearheading the activity was Engr. Rizaldy C. Mercadal, Agriculturist II of ATI-7 who is the Project Officer with invited resource speakers in the person of Engr. Romar A. Areno of PhilMech-Iloilo; Engr. Niño D. Bengosta and Mario V. Pascua of PhilMech National with Engr. Avejun A. Abucot of the Office of the Provincial Agriculture-Cebu.
