SIQUIJOR – The Refresher Course Batch 3 for the Training of Trainers for Local Farmer Technicians (LFTs) was held last June 3-7, 2019 at Ocean View Farm and Cottages in Olang, Maria, this province.
Twenty-nine LFTs and 3 Agricultural Extension Workers from Siquijor finished the course with the objective of enhancing their capabilities in marketing techniques that can help farmers increase profitability. Also, guide them in the implementation of the Climate Resilient Farm Business School (CRFBS) farmer level.
Moreover, these participants performed the market survey and benchmarking to successful entrepreneurs; digested the basic concept of farm profitability; farm planning/farm record keeping and cost and return analysis; develop a Business Plan with a workable action plan and understand the Tools and Techniques used in Participatory Rural Appraisal.
Retired government employee from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist in the province of Negros Oriental in the person of Angelina L. Bondad was the resource person while Engr. Jonathan O. Sumagang was the project officer.
