BOHOL – Thirty-five Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) in Central Visayas successfully completed the 10-day Training of Trainers on Climate Resiliency Farm Business School last April 1-10, 2019 at ATI-RTC 7 Training Complex, Cabawan District, Tagbilaran City this province.
Engr. Jonathan O. Sumagang, Development Management Officer II of ATI7 is the project officer of the activity.
The main objective of this TOT is to enhance the AEWs’ knowledge, skills and attitude in rice farming and marketing techniques to help farmers increase profitability and preserve the environment.
Moreover, the AEWs were also capacitated in the assessment of the vulnerability and agro-environmental risks to small-scale farmer businesses; identified opportunities for resilience-building in business planning and development and integrate climate resiliency practices in the FBS approach.
The output of the training was an action plan for implementing climate-resiliency FBS at farmer’s level and a project proposal.
