TAGBILARAN CITY. - “Being a first timer is a heart-pounding experience. Delivering different portion of your fears, feelings, hopes, etc., makes you more challenged and excited. Having this experience is one of my lifetime countdown for which it motivates, encourages and molds me to become what I am in the future, an extensionist. Extension delivery system training provides a good avenue to better understand and inculcate to our mind what is extension” according to Ms. Leonida P. Revilla, Instructor from Bohol Island State University, in her impression as one of the participants during the Training on Extension Delivery System held on February 20-22, 2018 at Bohol Sunset Villa, Taloto District, this city. The quoted opinion from the said participant marked the fruitful undertaking conducted by the ATI-RTC 7.
The 3-day activity included substantial input sharing, discussion, workshops, group dynamics and micro-teaching demonstration. Inputs were shared by the pool of trainers from ATI-RTC 7: Dr. Gracia F. Arado, Training Center Superintendent I with Extension Delivery Services as her topic; Ma. Pamela N. Respecia, Technical Staff discussed the Preparation of Visual Aids; and Dr. Merrian P. Soliva, Media Production Specialist II delivered the Communication, Presentation Skills, FGD, e-Extension, and facilitated the Micro-Teaching Demonstration.
The twenty-eight participants are extension workers and representatives from Bohol Island State University (BISU), Negros Oriental State University (NORSU), Cebu Technological University (CTU), Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority – RO 7 (PhilFIDA-RO 7), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Department of Agriculture, PATCO-Bohol (DA, PATCO) and Bohol Agricultural Promotion Center (DA-APC), and LGU-Mabini.
The activity ended productively as the participants completed their Action Plan per agency, with the facilitation of the training management team, Ma. GraciaSoliva-Pungay, as the Project Officer and Joemelyn A. Sumagang as member.
