VICTORIA, Laguna – To show support for the celebration of the World Water Day and to demonstrate environmental advocacies, Dr. Luz Taposok and Senator Cynthia Villar led the clean-up drive in Laguna de Bay.

The clean-up drive was dubbed as "Wastewater: The Untapped Resource Needed in Agriculture,” which was followed by a program where Dr. Taposok delivered a speech and emphasized how water equates to life.

“Bawat patak ng tubig ay buhay.” Dr. Taposok said.

“Mas mabuti nang walang ilaw kaysa walang tubig.”

Also, Senator Villar and Mayor Raul Gonzalez of Victoria, Laguna reiterated the importance of water conservation and protection.

The said event was organized by ATI-Regional Training Center IV-A, headed by Center Director Marites Cosico, in close coordination with the municipal government of Victoria, Laguna and the Department of Education for the celebration of the World Water Day on March 22, 2017.

Other participants of the clean-up drive included the community police officers, barangay health workers, senior citizens and high school students of Victoria, Laguna.

The activity ended with the awarding of certificates for the participants of the previous various activities such as mural painting contest.

The clean-up drive was held last March 10, 2017 in this town.
