Villar stressed the need to support our farmers and fishers since about two-thirds of the country’s population is involved in the agriculture sector, directly or indirectly.

Dahil sa kanila, may pagkain tayo sa ating hapag-kainan araw-araw. Mabuhay ang ating mga magsasaka at mangingisda!

SAN ILDEFONSO, Bulacan – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), together with members of Rural Improvement Clubs from various regions in the Philippines celebrated the last hurrah of the Women in Agriculture Symposium through a farm tour at Duran Farm on March 3, 2017.
The 53 participants were briefed and toured by the owner herself, Desiree Duran. Starting off with an orientation, Duran shared how she started farming, which has proven to give inspiration to other women farmers.

Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture.
