Tagbilaran City – The Agricultural Training Institute – VII (ATI-7) is now back on track with the recent conduct of training held in and outside the regional training center. Recently, two (2) batches of Safe Food Saves Life: A Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Forum was concluded on August 26 and 27, 2020 at ATI-7, Barangay Cabawan, this city.
CENTRAL VISAYAS – To increase the farmers’ awareness and knowledge on Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) or Rice Fund, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 7 (ATI-7) conducted an LGU-led RCEF Information Caravan in the region from July 13 to August 20, 2020.

TAGBILARAN CITY – With the continuous threat of the pandemic for the past three months, the Agricultural Training Institute in Central Visayas conducted its first face-to-face Training on Food Production at the Household Level with Financial Literacy last July 20-21 and July 27-28, 2020 at the Training Complex in Cabawan District, this city.

CENTRAL VISAYAS – Eleven additional city/municipalities are on its roll-out of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Information Caravan in the region led by the Local Government Units (LGU) through the City and Municipal Agriculture Office.

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), as the Extension Support Education and Training Services (ESETS) arm of the Department of Agriculture, is responsible for conceptualizing training and extension modalities. The Learning Site (LS) is one of ATI’s innovation being institutionalized since 2011 among the whole ATI network.
CENTRAL VISAYAS – On its initial roll-out of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Information Caravan in the region, four (4) priority towns had conducted the activity with a total of 100 rice farmers briefed.
TAGBILARAN CITY – The Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Team of ATI in Central Visayas conducted a three-day actual internal audit last July 14-16, 2020 to keep track of the center’s status amidst the pandemic.
TAGBILARAN CITY – In support to the ALPAS CoVID-19 and the Plant Plant Plant Program of the Department of Agriculture, the Agricultural Training Institute in Central Visayas strengthens the implementation of the Agriculture Program through the conduct of the “on-air” training or radio-based extension activities.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves.
