In support of the Urban Agriculture Program (UAP) of the Department of Agriculture (DA) to boost food security amidst the pandemic, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XI (ATI-RTC XI) has been distributing gardening starter-kits to urban and rural communities to kick-start establishment of communal gardens.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. The school-on-the air on organic agriculture, OK sa OA was concluded over the airwaves and social media pages of the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02). The project has around 300 farmers and young farmers from different municipalities of Isabela and Cagayan participating.
To strengthen the promotion of urban agriculture and agritourism in the region, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON in partnership with Agripreneur of GMA 7 feature three (3) certified Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs) namely Gintong Bukid Farm and Leisure in Nagcarlan, Laguna; Yumi’s Farm in Tayabas City and Bunch Farm in Lucena City in Quezon province.
Another batch of facilitators and trainers for the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Farm Schools were prepared to handle season-long modified farmers’ field school offered to rice farmers in the region.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Last Wednesday, August 12, 2020 staff of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 prepared a video greeting for the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 13 in commemoration to its 25th Anniversary celebration.
SIBAGAT, Agusan del Sur- The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sibagat, Agusan del Sur through its Municipal Agriculture Office recently received their certificate as Learning Site for Agriculture Cooperator. The LGU’s Demonstration Farm is now certified as LSA wherein visitors and other agriculture enthusiasts and learners will be accommodated anytime.

ATI Region 6 implements the "AI sa Barangay" - Swine Artificial Insemination Refresher Course on August 6, 2020 at ATI Region 6’s Conference Hall, Banga, Aklan in support to the National Livestock Program in partnership with the Provincial Veterinarian Office/Municipal Agriculture Office of LGUs all over the Region.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times.
