Baybay City, Leyte - Technology continues to aid ATI in the provision of extension services to its clients. Even with the inability of the center to conduct face-to-face trainings caused by the pandemic, ATI-RTC 8 sees to it that its clients are still equipped with the knowledge and skills they need during this time of crisis.
To continuously deliver information about agriculture without the usual face to face learning during this time of the pandemic, the Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center XI (ATI-RTC XI) has been carrying out webinars since April this year.

BUTUAN CITY – As radio remains to be a useful tool in reaching farmers on a large scale, the School on-the-Air (SOA) program on Urban Gardening was launched on July 8, 2020 over Hope Radio Philippines Butuan 93.5 FM. Aired from 5:30 to 6:30 in the morning, Wednesday.
The SOA program comprised with 270 enrollees coming from fifteen (15) participating barangays of the City.

Overcoming COVID-19 Boundary Barriers: ATI-CAR and LGUs Sustain Rice Extension Services Despite Travel Restrictions
LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET. The risk of COVID-19 infection made provinces and municipalities in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) impose strict travelling rules specially for those entering their areas of jurisdiction. This consequently posted challenges in the delivery of extension service in CAR although alternative modes such as online platforms have been adopted. Still, the ATI-CAR faces challenges in providing quality extension service via these alternative modes considering the poor internet connectivity in most of the Region’s rural areas.
