FIRST AND LAST FACE-TO-FACE TOT ON PRODUCTION OF HIGH QUALITY INBRED RICE AND SEEDS, AND FARM MECHANIZATION TRANSPIRES
BANGA, Aklan – After four months of temporary training suspension, ATI in Region 6 conducts the 12-day Training of Trainers (TOT) on Production of High Quality Inbred Rice and Seeds, and Farm Mechanization on August 3 to 14, 2020 at ATI Training Hall, ASU Compound to 24 farm school representatives in the Province of Aklan.
BAYBAY CITY, Leyte - The Rice Crop Manager has been helping farmers get personalized nutrient and crop management recommendations based on their site-specific rice-growing conditions. Recent research has proved RCM to be effective as it has increased rice production yield and ultimately, farmer’s income.
Capitan Bayong, Impasugong, Bukidnon---The Barangay Council of Capitan Bayong through the Barangay Nutrition Committee headed by the Punong Barangay Dawn M. Roque initiated the ‘Caromata’ Agricultural and Floral Display Contest as highlight activity for this year’s Nutrition Month Celebration.
Hinigdaan, El Salvador City---Reaching out to more communities to go into urban gardening and encouraging them to establish their own community gardens, the ATI-RTC X team headed by OIC-Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez with Administrative Officer IV Efren C. Macario and Project Evaluation Officer I Cheriemy D.

In support of the Urban Agriculture Program (UAP) of the Department of Agriculture (DA) to boost food security amidst the pandemic, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XI (ATI-RTC XI) has been distributing gardening starter-kits to urban and rural communities to kick-start establishment of communal gardens.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. The school-on-the air on organic agriculture, OK sa OA was concluded over the airwaves and social media pages of the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02). The project has around 300 farmers and young farmers from different municipalities of Isabela and Cagayan participating.
To strengthen the promotion of urban agriculture and agritourism in the region, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON in partnership with Agripreneur of GMA 7 feature three (3) certified Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs) namely Gintong Bukid Farm and Leisure in Nagcarlan, Laguna; Yumi’s Farm in Tayabas City and Bunch Farm in Lucena City in Quezon province.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves.
