He is one of those being asked to share his life experiences during gatherings of beekeepers in the Cordillera Region. A successful beekeeper in his right, he has his own story to share that emanates from the passion of nurturing apiaries.

“A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step,” goes a commonly used adage that best describe what the La Trinidad Organic Practitioners Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LaTOP MPC) had gone through, as the first organic agriculture cooperative.
This cooperative formally started in 2005 with only 26 pioneering members. As part of the protocol, interested individuals must attend a Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) training which was sponsored by the Agriultural Training Institute-Cordillera Administrative Region.

The municipality of Mankayan is more popular for its gold and copper compared to its other “golds” such as potato and cabbage. Recently, another form of gold is now buzzing in town and that is the golden honey. Its “vine” starts just below the towering Mt. Data National Park in Sitio Caew of Barangay Bulalacao, Mankayan, Benguet, and being mined by Mr. Dexter D. Wasawas, the bee bachelor.
