Thus, a consultation workshop, action planning and open forum was also entailed to clarify and discuss issues and concerns regarding the program and to distinguish priority trainings in their respective municipalities.

During the open forum, some issues and concerns were raised with regards to promoting organic agriculture. Success stories and best practices on organic agriculture should be documented to promote the program. Further, to convince farmers to go into organic farming and to motivate youth to take up agriculture courses, it has to do with mind setting. On the other hand, one participant suggested that, during the conduct of organic activity, the food to be served and the venue should be organic for promotion.

The activity was graced by Mr. Adelberto Baniqued, the National Organic Agriculture Board (NOAB) member, Mindanao representative for small farmer. He emphasized that LGU shall allocate 5% (mandatory) of their annual budget in support to Organic Agriculture Program and these issues raised from this kind of activity will be brought in the NOAB.
