Once again, the Agricultural Training Institute celebrated its founding anniversary. This activity is anchored on the creation of the Agricultural Training Institute in 1987 from the then Bureau of Agricultural Extension, which was mandated to train agricultural extension worker and its clienteles.
With the theme "Vibrant Agri and Fisheries Extension Services Towards Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita". This year’s anniversary is celebrated with a mass celebration, motorcade, anniversary program that includes awarding of cheques for Rice Achievers Award (RAA), awarding of Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) certificates, recognition of contest winner of Community Outreach Best Garden Contest, free seminar, sports fest and team building activity.
The first day started by a holy mass attended by the staff and personnel at St. Joseph Parish in Pagadian City. Followed by the motorcade around the city. The anniversary program was attended by more than 100 individuals and was graced by our Regional Executive Director of DA-RFO IX, Dir. Rad Donn L. Cedeño; Regional Agriculture and Fishery Council (RAFC) Chairman, Mr. Leonardo Caparida; ATI-RTC IX Center Director, Ms. Alicia Rose D. Nebreja; City Councilor and Committee on Agriculture, Mr. Ronald Christopher Glenn Ariosa; OIC-Provincial Agriculturist of Zamboanga del Sur, Ms. Lindley Herrera; City Agriculturist of Pagadian City, Ms. Annie C. Tenorio; OIC-Regional Manager of Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), Mr. Efren P. Carba; Learning Site in Agriculture (LSA) cooperators; PLGU-Zamboanga del Sur; LGU-Pagadian City; other partner agencies and the farm families from Brgy. Balitawak.
After the anniversary program was the simultaneous two activities; the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing of the newly certified LSAs and the free seminar entitled, "Make Food Accessible through Urban Gardening and Learn the Basics of Ginger Production"
The free seminar was held at Gym, Capitol Compound, Sto. Niño, Pagadian City. More than 50 walk in individuals have attended the said activity. Some of them came from far flung city and province yet was very eager to grab the opportunity of attending a free seminar and learn urban gardening and ginger production.
The second day of the celebration is more on the staff and personnel of ATI Nueve. The activities aims to strengthen relationship within the organization through sports fest and team building activities. The group played Basketball for men, Volleyball for women, and Table Tennis. The group concluded the amazing day for the team building games in the afternoon.
The 33rd ATI AnNUEVErsary was celebrated last January 29-30, 2020 in Pagadian City.
