CAPIZ – Two batches of Provincial Information Caravan in the Province of Capiz were held to orient the farmers on the implementation of Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) at Nesta’s Hilltop, Roxas City for the first district and Mambusao, Capiz for the second district last November 27 and 29, 2019, respectively with 400 farmers participants.
Representatives from different agencies that include Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Landbank of the Philippines, and Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center VI (ATI-RTC VI) presented the different components of RCEF as well as on how can the farmers avail of those programs.
After the agencies’ corresponding presentations, an open forum was held to give the farmers a chance to hear their issues and concerns. The participants raised the issue on the registration process of Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA), the delayed distribution process of the seeds as well as the expected yields of the farmers.
The information caravan was participated by 15 municipalities in the Province of Capiz.
