DIRECTOR’S DIARY: OCTOBER 2019

Doc Eden gives her message of thanks to the Aklan State University Officials during the Turn-over Ceremony of ATI Region 6's Old Building.

BANGA, Aklan – Three months left for the year 2019 yet Doc Eden still attended several activities. It started with a Committee Meeting at Hotel Del Rio, Iloilo City in regards with the upcoming National Quality Corn Achievers Award (NQCAA), Cassava Cluster Management Excellence Awards (CCMEA) and Cornucopia Awards.

She then attended the Opening Program to the Training Course on Inbred Rice Production and Certificate for Seed Growers of Region VI at EON Centennial Hotel and Resort, Jaro, Iloilo City last October 7 and gave her warm message to the attendees. A week after, she gave a motivational message during the Opening Program of Training of Trainers on Modernized Production of High Quality Inbred Rice and Seeds at ATI-RTC VI Training Hall, ASU Compound, Banga, Aklan.

Last October 22, 2019, the ATI-RTC VI Personnel through her leadership participated the ISO 3rd Party Surveillance for ISO 9001:2015 Certification with Mr. Charlie Labrador, ISO TUV-SUD Auditor and Ms. Athena Agape Baguisi of ATI Central Office.

She then expressed her support during the first batch of Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Provincial Information Caravan in Aklan last October 24 at Teodosio’s Cultural Sport Complex, Banga, Aklan. In connection with this, she took part in Agricultural Extension Workers Congress last October 28 at Punta Villa Resort, Arevalo, Iloilo City and provided updates regarding RCEF. She proceeded to the launching of Tress Solteros Learning Center/Site at Barangay Sta. Monica, Oton, Iloilo with Lyn G. Bantigue in the following day.

In the last day of the month, she served as a keynote speaker in the celebration of Rural Women’s Month at the Jayner L. Demeterio Memorial Sports Complex Barangay Poblacion, Batan, Aklan. In the afternoon, she attended the turn-over ceremony of ATI Region 6’s properties like “Baeay it Mangunguma” to Dr. Anna Mae C. Relingo, OIC-President of Aklan State University; Dr. Cecile O. Legaspi, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Engr. Remelyn R. Recoter, Regional Executive Director of DA-RFO 6 that was witnessed by ATI and Aklan State University employees.
