Another qualification offered by the ATI-RTC 02 Competency Assessment Center is Rice Machinery Operation NC II. Its accreditation was issued on October 24, 2020 and now ready to accept applicants for assessment.
Initiated by Center Director Imelda M. Guillermo, the requirements were facilitated by the CAC staff and conducted its first batch of assessment at R & D Oliveros Farm School, Roxas, Isabela. There were 17 assessees that were able to pass the assessment and certified as competent in all competencies under RMO NC II.
The competencies covered on RMO NC II are Operate Rice Land Preparation Machinery and Equipment, Operate Rice Crop Establishment Machinery and Equipment, Operate Rice Crop Care Machinery and Equipment, Operate Rice Harvesting and Threshing Machinery and Equipment, Operate Rice Drying Machinery and Equipment and Operate Rice Mill Machinery and Equipment. During the assessment, assessees undergone actual operations of the different machineries at the RAMI’s Farm in Marasat Grande, San Mateo, Isabela being the accredited venue for the conduct of the RMO NC II assessment.
Further, Dr. Maurieann M. Turingan, the newly designated Assessment Center Manager intends to expand qualifications such as Food Processing NC II and Animal Health Care and Management NC III. Consequently, the Center applied for the said qualifications last September 2020 and will offer new opportunities to extension workers, farmers and other individuals who have passion in agriculture.
