SAN MATEO, Isabela. “The theories learned from school are very different in actual field”, said Mr. Lemmuel Brito, a Grade 12 student of the Rizal National High School (RNHS), Santiago City. During the culmination activity of their immersion in the Agricultural Training Institute Region 02, Brito said they learned different techniques in farming.
Orani, Bataan. Initiatives, innovations and commitment in the implementation of the information services of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02) paid off. Said ATI-RTC 02 accomplishments were recognized during the Information Services (IS) Achievers’ Awards 2019 in Orani, Bataan.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. The Agricultural Training Institute in Region 02 conducted two batches of Training of Trainers (TOT) on High Quality Inbred Rice Production. These were in support to the implementation of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) as a result of the rice tarrification law.
Iguig, Cagayan. Acted as panel member during the forum for policy recommendations or resolutions, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02) participated in the two-day Regional Agri-Fishery Council (RAFC) Forum.
TUMAUINI, Isabela. Six batches of training course on sustainable corn production in sloping areas (SCoPSA) were conducted in different barangays of Tumauini, Isabela. The Local Government Unit of Tumauini proposed the training to address soil erosion in hilly areas of the said municipality.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. After an evaluation conducted for the nominees for the Young Filipino Farmers Training Program in Japan (YFFTPJ), two 4H members luckily passed the qualification requirements.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. Two season-long Farmers’ Field School on Good Agricultural Practices on Lowland Vegetables Production had their culminating activity in November. Said FFS were conducted in partnership with the Local Government Units of Maddela, Quirino and Jones, Isabela.

The ATI-RTC 02 and PhilRice Isabela together with the rice farmers of San Mateo Isabela conducted a Be RICEponsible campaign on November 8, 2019, to open the month-long celebration.
Farmers from Cauayan City and San Mateo, Isabela have now easier and faster access to agri-fishery knowledge and information through the Digital Farmers Program (DFP) conducted on November 5 and 6, respectively.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. It was a good practice of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02) conducting mass graduation of its different training and extension activities. The mass graduation was participated by around 1400 graduates from different municipalities of region 02.
