TANTANGAN, South Cotabato- In the pursuit of delivering agriculture technologies and information amid CoViD-19 pandemic, the ATI-RTC 12 maximizes the use of social media as it continues to conduct the Online Free Seminar to serve the public while staying at home.
In the third series of Online Free Seminar entitled Food Security Starts at Home: Organikong Pataba, Panalo, Technical Staff Johnny H. Pasaquian discussed the preparations, materials needed and processes in making organic fertilizers or concoctions.
Among the concoctions presented were the Fermented Plant Juice (FPJ), Fermented Fruit Juice (FFJ) and Oriental Herbal Nutrient (OHN). During the Online Free Seminar, Mr. Pasaquian said that these organic fertilizers could help the farmers lower down their cost of production and can help improve the quality of the soil.
Aside from the technical know-how in making the concoctions, Mr. Pasaquian also encouraged the online viewers to maximize whatever resources are available in their locality and to create their own organic fertilizers to ensure that their crops are safe for consumption and healthy.
