Poblacion, El Salvador--- The Department of Agriculture’s “Plant, Plant, Plant Program” or “Ahon Lahat, Pagkaing Sapat (ALPAS) Laban sa Covid-19” continues to benefit farmers, fishers and consumers in the city as well as in the countryside.
The world now is profoundly affected by this global pandemic. Adding to the threat of public health and well-being, as well as the economic and long term livelihoods of the people, food sufficiency and hunger is now the common clamor of mostly those in poor sector.
A series of webinars will be aired at the ATI Northern Mindanao Facebook Page. This will start on April 24, 2020 at 10:00-10:30 in the morning. This is in response to the Covid pandemic which has restricted the conduct of face-to-face trainings. Also, engaging on urban agriculture will assure food availability in the home and could also be an added income in these trying times.
A total of 30 farmers from different barangays of Malaybalay City, Bukidnon received one piglet each from the City Veterinary Office. The piglets were part of the AI (Artificial Insemination) sa Barangay Program wherein the City Veterinary Office is one of its recipients.

Poblacion District, Davao City---Gathering the Rural Improvement Club (RIC) members and movers across the regions, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) conducted a series of capacity enhancement training programs for the regional presidents of the said organization.
MARAMAG, Bukidnon --- Along with the passage of the Rice Tarrification Law, or RA 11203, the demand for Inbred Rice Seeds has shot up. This is mostly because of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund, wherein its Seed Program allows for the distribution of Inbred Rice Seeds to the different municipalities under RCEF. Thus, it created an opportunity for Seed Growers.
