ATI, COA Conduct Backyard Gardening Webinar for Women Staff

DILIMAN, Quezon City — In line with the celebration of National Women’s Month, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) took part in a webinar on “Women in Backyard Gardening and Farming” facilitated by the Commission on Audit (COA) .

The webinar highlighted different gardening strategies and vegetable production practices. Specifically, container gardening, vertical gardening, edible landscaping, square-foot farming, hydroponics, preparation of soil mixture, organic pesticides, as well as organic concoctions and kitchen waste composting.

DILIMAN, Quezon City – To ensure the continuous production and supply of quality vegetable seeds in the market amidst the threat of COVID-19, the Department of Agriculture through the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) conducted a training on Vegetable Seed Production and Plant Propagation last February 17-18, 2021 at the Rural Development Education Center of ATI in this city.

March Honors Women as Catalysts for Change

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) joins the nation in honoring every Juana this whole month of March in celebration of the 2021 National Women’s Month.
