NAGCARLAN, Laguna – Laguna, being one of the most active provinces in implementing Organic Agriculture (OA) programs, hosted the orientation on OA for Local Technical Committee. The orientation served as initial step in determining unraveling concerns relative to the crafting and enriching of OA programs and projects in their locality. With this, 50 members of the Municipal and Provincial Local Technical Committee of Laguna participated during the orientation on April 27, 2018 at Gintong Bukid, Nagcarlan, Laguna. Participants were informed on different topics stipulated on Republic Act (RA) 10068 or the Organic Agriculture Act of 2010 such as the roles and functions of local technical committee, consumer OA awareness, internal control system and organic certification.

The Agricultural Training Institute CaLaBaRZon in coordination with the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist Laguna led the one-day Orientation on OA. It aims to identify and explain various issues related to RA 10068 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
