Cassava is a supplemental source of carbohydrates and a good source of cash income and raw materials for processed products for rural and urban consumption. There are 48 cassava varieties registered with the National Seed Industry Council (NSIC). These varieties are grouped according to their uses, for food, feed and industry.

Goat industry performance report dated May 2016 reveals that Eastern Visayas goat inventory declined since 2013 for backyard and commercial farms from 53,632 mT to 34,514 mT in January 2016.
