Rice-Duck-Kuhol (RiDuKo) technology is one of the integrated farming practices at the ATI-accredited Juanito Eco Venture School for Practical Agriculture (JEFSPA) owned by Mr. Olegario Paredes, Jr in Kananga, Leyte. He mainly produces organic colored rice varieties such as  red, black and brown whilst utilizing the usually considered pest –kuhol.

In the early 1980s, Southern Leyte was known to have a lucrative cacao industry. However,  pests, such as the cacao pod borer, weakened the industry  since farmers burned and cut affected plants. Some however, maintained the healthy ones and processed them into beans.
