ATI Courseware developers gear up for Course conversion

The e-Learning for Agriculture and Fisheries is a major component of the Philippine's Department of Agriculture's e-Extension Program. Its lead implementing agency is the Agricultural Training Institute agency, in collaboration with other government agencies, state universities and colleges and nongovernment organizations. Currently, the e-learning website forty-one (41) e-learning courses and more are still to be uploaded.
With the advent of new technologies and improvements, the courseware development team within the ATI network gathered together to update the contents from selected and existing e-learning courses based on suggestions and improvements from the original courseware developers and subject matter specialists. With this, the old e-learning courses developed using the Courselab platform will be converted to a newer version using the Articulate Storyline 2.
Mr. Jose Rey Alo, member of the Quality Circle for the e-Learning program, guided the developers through discussions and one-on-one critiquing. He also reminded the developers to make sure that the modules, lessons, and other components of the course conform with the standards set by ATI in courseware development.
The 1st Courseware Migration Workshop was held on April 17-21, 2017 at Cagayan de Oro City. Ten (10) courseware developers from selected regions and ATI Central Office participated in the said activity. Ten existing online courses were up for updating and conversion. Region 8 was assigned with the e-Learning course on Abaca Production.
The e-Learning website has also been constantly uploading courses developed during the previous courseware development workshops held in 2015 and 2016.
