AFEN refines extension guidelines

ATI 8 convened the region's provincial agriculture and fishery extension networks chairmen, state colleges and universities extension directors and representatives from the different national government agencies for a two-day planning workshop to refine the extension program guidelines for RDE review which were formulated by the core group tasked to work on it by RRDEN and ViCARP.

During the activity, the participants also tackled issues on climate change and proposed some mitigation strategies to safeguard the agricultural and fishery productivity of the region.  They also look into the different extension programs of the different agencies and institutions that can be harmonized to strengthen and maximize extension services.

ATI 8 Center Director Paulino T. Cabahit and Planning Officer Segundino H. Cebu facilitated the activity held on April 5-6 at ATI 8 in the Visayas Stae University, Baybay City.
