Strengthening AFE Stakeholders' Capacity in Climate Change Adaptation and Readiness

In addressing the scenarios brought about by Climate Change, ATI implements extension interventions with special focus on the needs of the stakeholders to withstand or adopt to the adverse impacts of Climate Change. Such interventions cut across all the other Thematic Programs of the Institute, including the following:

  • Information campaign to Local Government Units (LGUs) and Rural-Based Organizations on the impacts of climate change
  • Capability building activities for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation
  • Capacity Building on Disaster Risk Reductions and calamity preparedness
  • Production and distribution of IEC materials
  • Promotion of Organic Agriculture
  • Establishment of Climate Smart Farmers' Field Schools
  • ATI Tree for Life, Food for Life Project
  • Greening the Cities for Food and Environment
