FITS receive ICT tools

TAGBILARAN CITY. - "Extend our gratitude to your Local Chief Executives for your continuous support to ATI's extension services. We all know that we have two (2) main objectives why we extend services beyond boundaries, it's because we wanted to facilitate our clients’ needs to increase their production and at the same time decrease poverty status." This was the message of Dr. Carolyn May O. Daquio, Training Center Superintendent II of ATI-RTC 7 in Central Visayas to the 10 FITS Managers in the region to which the ICT equipment were turned-over.

The ICT equipment was provided to enhance the functionality of the Farmers' Information Technology Services (FITS) Centers in their respective municipality. The activity was held last August 16, 2017 at the training complex of ATI, this city.

The recipients of the ICT equipment are conducting deployment of the Rice Crop Manager (RCM) in the field. These FITS Centers are from Lazi, Siquijor and Carcar, Cebu while the municipalities of Candijay, San Miguel, Mabini, Antequera, Catigbian, Jagna, Garcia-Hernandez and Carmen from Bohol.

The ICT equipment given includes netbook, tablet, pocket wifi, 3-in-1 printer, ink and other office supplies.

Moreover, representing said FITS were FITS Managers, Information Services Specialists (ISS) and Technical Services Specialists (TSS).

Ma. Gracia Soliva-Pungay, Media Production Specialist II of ATI who is also the RCM focal in the region expressed her sincerest appreciation to everybody who heeded the call. She also discussed the mechanics and the rationale of this activity to the FITS staff involved.
