AEWs during one of the guided-workshop

TAGBILARAN CITY. - In response to the need in conducting research and extension, 25 agricultural extension workers from the provinces of Siquijor and Bohol attended the three-day Capability Enhancement Training on Data Gathering, Analysis, Interpretation and Report Writing on March 22-24, 2017 at BPSTEA Conference Hall, Tamblot Street, Tagbilaran City conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 7.

This training was the product of the consultation between members of the Regional Agriculture and Fishery Extension Network (RAFEN) in Central Visayas wherein a capability enhancement on research and extension is necessary among AEWs who are no longer doing hands-on research.

The lecture and guided workshop provided the participants the appreciation of the activity. They believed that through constant exercise and actual practice will enable to hone their research skills.

The pool of facilitators were Grace Len C. Dagala, Senior Science Research Specialist, Research Division, Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 7 and Dr. Merrian Piquero Soliva, Media Production Specialist of ATI-RTC 7.

what our clients say...

“I am so blessed to have been a part of this training. As the memorandum has been circulated to our school; i had this feeling of uncertainty whether i will be able to produce the desired output because i had a zero knowledge on IEC production. Since, our school is one of the recipient of the adopt-a-school program and being the teacher in-charged; i did not hesitate to participate in this training because for me, this will help us in designing our advocacy materials especially that our school is among that will offer senior high school. With my participation, my expectation wasn't futile since ATI-RTC 7 equipped us not just on the material things that we need but on the knowledge and skills that we can apply. To ATI, thank you so much, more power and more collaborations from you. To my co-participants who are very supportive and very participative, until next time.”
