25 AEWs undergo research training

TAGBILARAN CITY. - In response to the need in conducting research and extension, 25 agricultural extension workers from the provinces of Siquijor and Bohol attended the three-day Capability Enhancement Training on Data Gathering, Analysis, Interpretation and Report Writing on March 22-24, 2017 at BPSTEA Conference Hall, Tamblot Street, Tagbilaran City conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 7.

This training was the product of the consultation between members of the Regional Agriculture and Fishery Extension Network (RAFEN) in Central Visayas wherein a capability enhancement on research and extension is necessary among AEWs who are no longer doing hands-on research.

The lecture and guided workshop provided the participants the appreciation of the activity. They believed that through constant exercise and actual practice will enable to hone their research skills.

The pool of facilitators were Grace Len C. Dagala, Senior Science Research Specialist, Research Division, Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 7 and Dr. Merrian Piquero Soliva, Media Production Specialist of ATI-RTC 7.
