BNP Municipal Training Kicks Off in Pampanga and Bulacan

 The Binhi ng Pag-asa (BNP) program with the theme “Organic Vegetable Production for Young FIlipino Farmers” has officially started its municipal training in the Duran Farm, Basuit San Ildefonso, Bulacan and Otel Pampanga, Lazatin Blvd. San Fernando, Pampanga last July 18-20, 2017. 

The said three-day training was attended by the youth participants from Angat, Bulacan (37) and Masantol, Pampanga (42). In its first two days, the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center III (ATI-RTC-3), took charge of the the topics that were discussed namely: Agri-Based Technologies, Organic Vegetable Production, Fertilizer Application and Nutrient Management, Vermi-Composting, Organic Concoction, Pests and Diseases and Harvesting. On the other hand, in its last day, the Office of Senator Grace Poe (OSGP) handled the topics presented to the young participants - National Situationer, Agricultural Agenda and Farming and Social Media. 

The topics discussed are geared towards the program’s aim to provide the youth the opportunity to be engaged in farming and to make the them realize the reality about the future critical juncture that may occur in the sector of agriculture if they will not act now. 

In fact, Mr. Christian Jermy G. Guevarra, one of the participants from the Municipality of Masantol admitted that “Talaga po ang training na ito ay maituturing namin na biyaya at opportunity para sa aming mga kabataan na gustong matuto na magfarming, lalo na po sa organization ko.” Accordingly, Mr. Guevarra who is the President of one of the youth organizations in Masantol, is thankful for the opportunity to be exposed in the training for farming and leadership. 

The next municipal training of the two provinces is scheduled on July 25-27. MigsNarca
