Four Batches of Appreciation Forum Conducted for Municipal Agriculturists and Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Agriculture Chairmen in Region 02

SAN MATEO, ISABELA. The goal of Philippine Agriculture is food sufficiency and poverty reduction. To attain these goals, food producers – the farmers, must be encouraged to be productive and to increase their production to support the growing population of the country.

Moreover, strategies to increase production and income of the farmers as a result of series of researches are being implemented in support to this endeavor.

Quezon City.  As Dr. Luz Taposok, ATI Director said in her video message during the opening program that climate change is already an acknowledged phenomenon in the country, that’s why different agencies have its strategies and interventions in mainstreaming climate change.

A Call for a Harmonized High Value Crops Development Program with Stakeholders

SAN MATEO, ISABELA.  “We are looking forward for a more dynamic cooperation and more productive HVCDP program implementation,” this was the statement of Mr. Renato Maguigad, TCS II  of ATI-RTC 02 during the Consultation and Harmonization Workshop of the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP). 

RCM training in Region 02 rolls out to Nueva Vizcaya AEWs

SAN MATEO, ISABELA. The first batch of the regional roll out of the Training on Rice Crop Manager Use and Operation for agricultural extension workers (AEW) commenced last February 21-24, 2017 for Nueva Vizcaya AEWs.
The Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center is conducting 10 batches of the training to AEWs, local farmer technicians, and farmer leaders of Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya from February to April 2017.

ATI hones extension agents on resource generation

SAN MATEO, ISABELA.  The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02) conducted two trainings on Project Proposal Development and Resource Generation on February 13-16 and February 20-23, 2017 for extension managers and extension workers, respectively.

Serving Beyond Boundaries with Indigent Families

San Mateo, Isabela.  Kindness and generosity are always part of the values of ATI-RTC 02 family.  A community service was held for the indigent families of Malasin, San Mateo, Isabela. 

Each family received a pack of goods, clothes and toys as a simple souvenir from ATI-RTC 02.  As Training Center Superintendent Renato Maguigad said that it is not the recognition and the value that count but the feeling of joy in sharing.  

Renovating Guesthouse for Better and More Comfortable Accommodation

SAN MATEO, ISABELA. The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02) puts efforts in developing the physical structure of the Center for a better and more comfortable accommodation of the participants during training. 

The guesthouse and staff house also called apartment, which have been used for more than 30 years in trainings and other events, had undergone major renovations.

4H and VLAP Coordinators Met for the 2017 4H Program Updates

SAN MATEO, ISABELA.   Aspiring for another productive year for the 4H program, the 4H Coordinators and members of the Volunteer Leaders Association of the Philippines (VLAP) in region 02 convened to discuss updates on the said program and how the 4H club be enhanced to be of better service to the youth and to continue being models as young farmers.
