RCM training in Region 02 rolls out to Nueva Vizcaya AEWs
SAN MATEO, ISABELA. The first batch of the regional roll out of the Training on Rice Crop Manager Use and Operation for agricultural extension workers (AEW) commenced last February 21-24, 2017 for Nueva Vizcaya AEWs.
The Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center is conducting 10 batches of the training to AEWs, local farmer technicians, and farmer leaders of Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya from February to April 2017.
The activity aims to train the participants on the basic operation and orientation on the system of the latest version of the Rice Crop Manager.
The first batch was participated by AEWs from six municipalities of Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Vizcaya Experiment Station, and Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 02.
During the training, they were able to operate the RCM through an actual interview with farmers from San Mateo, Isabela. A total of 36 recommendations were generated and given to the farmers.
The remaining nine trainings will be conducted with the following schedule: February 28 - March 3, 2017 (Nueva Vizcaya 2); March 7-10, 2017 (District 3, Isabela); March 14-17, 2017 (District 4, Isabela & District 1, Cagayan); March 21-24, 2017 (District 2, Isabela); March 28-31, 2017 (District 2, Cagayan); and April 4-7, 2017 (District 1, Isabela; District 3, Cagayan and Quirino).
