SAN MATEO, ISABELA.  To recognize the contributions and innovations of our farmers and fisherfolk in Region 02, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center II published the “Beyond Dreams: Stories of Farming Champions of Region 02.”
The book is a collection of inspiring stories of farming champions represented by all sectors - youths, women, farmer-scientists, farmer’s organizations and agripreneurs.

The featured farmers and organizations have one in common—they are all innovators. They transformed the information they gained from attending trainings, fora, and other knowledge sharing activities into adoptable and suitable technologies.

Remarkably, most of our featured partners are winners of the most coveted Gawad Saka award - both in regional and national levels. The most recent is Mr. Denmark Centeno who received the 2016 Gawad Saka Award for Most Outstanding Young Farmer.

“The ATI-RTC 02 endeavors to document and unfold their stories. We are happy then to present this publication, Beyond Dreams, Stories of Farming Champions of Region 02. It unveils secrets, distinct practices, experiences and successes in farming.  It serves as a platform in recognizing successful farmers and organizations in their own fields, as partners in the delivery of extension service and in their efforts of raising the bar of agriculture and fishery sector,” ATI-RTC II Training Center Superintendent II Renato A. Maguigad said in the foreword.

The “Beyond Dreams” is a first book published by ATI-RTC 02. It was launched during the ATI’s 30th Anniversary last January 26, 2017.
