CD Maguigad will meet Staff for the Second Semester Operations
San Mateo, Isabela. Just after attending the national midyear review and assessment conducted at Laoag, Ilocos Norte on July 23-27, 2012, Center Director Renato A. Maguigad will meet his staff on July 30, 2012 at ATI-RTC San Mateo, Isabela. The said meeting aims to plan-out for the smooth implementation of targets of the center for the second semester.
Targeted activities not achieved during the first semester operations are re-targeted for the second semester. As a continuing activity, there are two ongoing season-long trainings conducted such as the training of trainers on vegetable production cum organic agriculture and rice-based integrated farming system cum organic agriculture, respectively, and six ongoing Climate Field School under the Philippine Climate Change Adaptation Project (PhilCCAP).
The school-on-the air program and video documentation on corn production are likewise ongoing. On the other hand, farmers’ field schools on high value crops are also rescheduled for the second semester as requested by the Local Government Units. Other target activities for the second semester will be tackled during the meeting.
