4H Club… now moving forward

San Mateo, Isabela.  For a couple of years of implementing the fund assistance program for the 4H club, Region 2 now has 24 4H clubs provided with augmentation fund by the Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC).  Infact, Hon. Prospero J. Alcala, DA Secretary will award an augmentation fund assistance amounting to fifty thousand pesos (P50,000) to a group of 4H clubs in the province of Isabela on February 23, 2011 during the launching of the Pilot Convergence Area for Sustainable Rural Development at the Faustino L. Dy Coliseum, Cauayan City.
Projects of the 4H Clubs funded are on goat production, broiler production, swine production, vermi-composting, meat processing, integrated vegetable production and rice retailing.   With this, the role of the 4H clubs in the development of agriculture in the region is now remarkable.
The provision of the said assistance is just one of the three (3) components of the program, which include the ladderized training and organizational strengthening for the said group of youth. Anna Liza M. Seroma
