History of the Center

1980's.
Emergence of the Philippine Training Center for Rural Development (PTC-RD) centers in Region XII. 

The Regional Training Center in USM, Kabacan

and Provincial Training Center in Midsayap, Cotabato Province serviced the entire Mindanao archipelago (click on the pictures to enlarge).

 

 

1987

  • Establishsment of Agricultural Training Institute integrated the PTCRD and PATC into one training institution under the umbrella of the Department of Agriculture. (Link to ATI-CO)
  • Making ATI visible in every region, the existing two centers in Region XII then covered the areas of the region and the nearby provinces of ARMM.

2002
The inclusion of the provinces of South Cotabato and Sarangani in Region XII opened the doors for ATI-PTC in Tantangan, South Cotabato to be included in the region, adding strength to the two already existing centers in the region.

2004
The restructuring of ATI paved for the reorganization of ATI in Region XII.  With Koronadal city as the seat of Region XII, ATI in Tantangan became the Regional Training Center.  The remaining two centers became its satellite centers.
