Info Team Intensifies Institute’s Corporate Identity

Dr. Regidor G. Gaboy stresses the importance of layout and design as integral part in communicating the corporate image of ATI.

Lipa, Batangas City --- Just in time for the rolling out of a Style Guide to be conformed all throughout the different divisions of the institute down to the Regional Training Centers, the Information Services Division (ISD) mounted a week-long training-workshop dubbed “Beyond Design: Developing ATI’s Corporate Materials”.

A Style Guide (or Manual of Style) is a set of standards for the writing and design of documents to establish and further improve coherence of communication.

Resource Person Dr. Regidor Gamboa Gaboy, Dean of the College of Education of Central Luzon State University delivered his lecture on Page Layout & Design which, if properly observed and put to good use by the participants consisting of Information Services staff across the regions, is integral to the development of ATI's corporate materials. Dr. Gaboy's  involvement in publishing and print media makes him a much sought after lecturer in lay-outing and page design, creative, journalistic writing and photojournalism.

Meanwhile, co-speakers Mr. Zoilo Cunanan and Mr. Emil Ubaldo discussed Photoshop / Manipulating Images and Magazine Layout and Design Trends respectively.

The Beyond Design training workshop which transpired from March 6-10 at Lipa, Batangas was attended by 35 Information Services staff coming from the 16 Regional Training Centers across the country.
The training participants were able to produce 17 magazine newsletters, 35 posters, 34 brochures and 35 photos inclusive with captions as major outputs.
