e-Learning for Agriculture and Fisheries

The e-Learning for Agriculture and Fisheries is a major component of the Philippine's Department of Agriculture's e-Extension Program, with the ATI as the lead implementing agency, in collaboration with other government agencies, state universities and colleges and nongovernment organizations. The ATI likewise serves as the e-learning administrator, through its Knowledge Products Management Division (KPMD) together with its network of training centers.

e-Learning courses are certificate courses on farming and fishing technologies on various commodities as well as social technology courses related to extension and training. The majority of these courses were developed in collaboration with research and development institutions, state universities, among others. 

The courses are offered through:

  • online - with the use of internet
  • offline - specially offered in areas without internet connectivity through the ATI's e-Extension Offices
  • Blended - a combination of online and hands-on learning exercises which are done with face-to-face interaction

The e-Learning courses are categorized according to crops, livestock and poultry, marine and fisheries, social technologies and sustainable agriculture. At present, the ATI is offering 30 online courses at the e-learning portal.

Likewise, free digital learning resources are available in downloadable and web-based format on various commodities and technologies at the e-learning portal.
