ATI Revisits the Government Procurement Reform Act

DILIMAN, Quezon City — To guarantee the effectiveness of its operations, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) calls on its network-wide Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) for a Training on Government Procurement Reform Act and its Revised Implementing Rules & Regulations on February 16-17, 2017.

The training aims to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the staff involved in the institute’s procurement process, the functions of BAC in ensuring all resources of the government are managed, expended, or utilized in accordance to laws and regulations, and safeguarded against loss or wastage.

Jeneria DC. Pascua of the Philippine National Police’s Office of the Deputy Chief for Operations served as one of the facilitators of the training. Specifically, she talked about the Standardized Bidding Procedure for Goods and Infrastructure Project and the Philippine Bidding Documents for the Procurement of Goods and Infrastructure Project.

Moreover, Ruth F. Romano of SAO-Procurement Service, will talk about the Standardized Bidding procedure for Consulting Services, Agency Procurement Compliance and Performance Indicators, as well as Civil, Penal and Administrative Provisions Protest Mechanism and Blacklisting Guidelines tomorrow (February 17, 2017).

This training, participated by a total of 59 BAC Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Head Secretariat of the ATI’s central office and network of training centers is being held at the Rural Development Education Center in ATI Compound.
