AgriDOC from Central and Eastern Visayas Visit the LeAD Center

DILIMAN, Quezon City -- For the purpose of fulfilling a module requirement for the Agricultural Development Officers of the Community (AgRiDOC) Program, extension workers from various government offices and units in the Central and Eastern Visayas regions recently visited the Agricultural Training Institute and the Learning and Development (LeAD) Center for Agriculture and Fisheries.

With a guided tour, the group was visited the different zones of the LeAD Center -- from the evolution and history of agricultural extension system in the country to the various farming systems in the Philippines, an Organic Agriculture Wall, value chains, an interactive corner for kids and kids at heart, a corner about stories of some successful farmers, up to an entrepreneur’s corner showcasing products that can be made from agricultural and fishery produce. Prior to their visit to the LeAD Center, OIC Director of ATI Dr. Luz A. Taposok briefed them about the Institute's latest policy directions under the new administration of the Department of Agriculture.
