The Philippine Association of Agriculturists Inc. (PAA), the accredited professional organization for the agriculture sector by the Philippine Regulatory Commission, will be conducting its 5th National Congress and 2017 Philippine Agriculturists’ Summit on July 16-19, 2017 at Villa Caceres Hotel, Naga City, Camarines Sur.

Around 500 professional agriculturists from the local government units, academe, national government agencies and the private sector all over the country who are members of the association are expected to participate in this event.

This Summit shall have the theme, “Enhancing the Agriculture Profession Towards a Resilient and Sustainable Agriculture in the Global Community.”  It provides the venue for participants to discuss issues and updates on the agriculture profession as well as crosscutting technologies on resilience and sustainability to increase food security, competitiveness and product safety in the light of the present ASEAN regional integration and globalization.

The event will also give opportunity to share research findings and best practices where the participants will later adopt and, through their agencies and institutions, join hands in extending the knowledge learned to the farmers in the agriculture sector.
The Summit is being organized with the PAA Bicol (Canarium ovatum) Chapter. It will highlight the launching of new chapters and the first oath taking of licensed agriculturists outside of Metro Manila.

PAA is inviting all agriculturists, especially licensed ones, and everyone interested in agriculture to join the association and regularly participate in this kind of learning event.  For queries, interested parties are encouraged to contact Dr. Rosalina Lapitan through email at paa . philippines @ gmail . com or through mobile phone at 0922 8044950.
