Saliot to the stakeholders who attended the National Consultation- Workshop on the Development of the National Extension Agenda and Programs (NEAP) for 2017-2022.

National Extension Agenda and Programs 2017-2022 is being formulated in response to the challenges and in strengthening contributions for agriculture and fisheries extension in the future. This will also serve as the platform of the next administration for extension services.

Areas included in the consultation are topics on (1) State of the Philippine Extension and Benchmarking AFE Programs: The ATI Extension Initiatives and Interventions, (2) Philippine Agriculture 2017 and Beyond, (3) Global Trends in Agriculture Development- Option for the Philippines, and (4) Emerging Context of Rural Advisory Services in the Asia Pacific together with the presentation of Integrated NEAP Zonal Consultation Outputs, forums and critiquing.

The participants were from the different national government agencies under the Department of Agriculture, local government units, non-government organizations, state universities and colleges, and some representatives from the private sector.
