ATI Celebrates 114th Civil Service Anniversary

DILIMAN, Quezon City – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) joins the government in celebrating the 114th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service this September.

With the theme “Tapat na Serbisyo, Alay ko dahil Lingkod Bayani ako,” the month-long anniversary celebration aims to promote, showcase and celebrate heroism in public service. It also serves to encourage and inspire government employees in their journey as servant-heroes or lingcod-bayani.

Civil Service Commision (CSC) Chairman Francisco T. Duque III in his anniversary message said that it is “a privilege to be included among the government servants, especially now that changes are seen in public service.”

Activities for the month-long anniversary include R.A.C.E. to Serve IV Fun Run, Honor Awards Program Rites for the 2014 Presidential Lingkod Bayan, Dangal ng Bayan and Pagasa Awardees and Government Choral Competitions. Likewise, special treat for government employees will be available such as free transportation and discounts from department stores.

Philippine Civil Service system was formally established through Public Law No. 5 “An Act for the Establishment and Maintenance of an efficient and Honest Civil Service in the Philippine Island” on September 19, 1900.
